Kihei Remodeling

Here are photos of two bathrooms we remodeled in a home in Kihei.

Both took on the feeling and appearance of a spa when we were done.
 

We prove our performance progress and reliability visually for your piece of mind. Here are some samples of work in progress photos that we email to our customers twice a week so they can see for themselves where we are at.

Papakea Condominium Remodeling

Handy Randys completed remodeling two units in the Papakea Condominium in June 2007, located oceanfront in Kaanapali Resort. These two units had not been updated since the condo was built some 25+ years ago.

The owner, who resides on the mainland and owns both units, never had to come to Maui during the remodeling process. We kept in close touch with him through weekly photos, email, fax and phone.

We completed each unit within two weeks (one at a time so he would be able to rent the other one) and had them back into the rental pool with a new high
"A" level rating, allowing him to charge a higher rate for them.

One unit was located in the "B" building and the other was in the "H" building. We were hired to remodel / update the kitchens and the one bath in each.

• tore out old cabinets and replaced them with new ones

• removed all old appliances - refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers -
  and replaced with new ones, including a new feature: an over-the-range microwave which guests prefer to have now.

• rebuilt the soffit (overhead lighting) with recessed lighting on a dimmer switch

• installed new tile counter tops and back splash

Bathrooms

• ripped out old out-dated tubs & vanity
• replaced with new tiled walk-in showers
• rebuilt the soffit (overhead lighting) with recessed can overhead lighting
• installed all new plumbing fixtures
• installed new vanity with ceramic countertops
• new, larger mirrors

Kihei Remodeling

BEFORE
This unit was last remodeled in 1987. Handy Randy's Home Services took out all the out-dated appliances, cabinets, carpeting, window treatments, doors and lavatory fixtures. We also stripped the old wallpaper.

AFTER
We advised the owner on all aspects of this remodeling job, as he was on the mainland. We used carpeting that was very sand and dirt resistant, but not too expensive. We used neutral colors and updated all appliances and fixtures throughout. We also built a soffitt into the ceiling for new kitchen lighting and built out the hallway so that we could add a washer-dryer unit in the hallway.
 

Wailea Remodeling

This is a remodel we did in a the Wailea resort in an upscale condo called Wailea Ekahi. It is in the rental pool and the owner is now able to charge more for it.

The unit's two bathrooms and kitchen were remodeled, and the wall color and furniture were also updated to follow recent trends.

Maalaea Remodeling

This is another series of dramatic Before & After images that were taken of a an oceanfront condominium unit in Maalaea that Handy Randy remodeled. It is owner occupied, and she worked with our team very closely in selecting new materials and colors.

• Floors were ceramic tiled

• stone interior walls were drywalled and painted

• crown molding was added throughout

• complete bathroom remodel: tile, sink, toilet and shower

• bar and countertops were replaced

• electrical & plumbing systems had to be updated

• new washer/dryer units installed

• new kitchen appliances installed
